Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal information Joy Garage Services LLC ("Joy Garage Services", "we", "us") collects through this website and by phone, how we use it, and the choices you have. We describe only what we actually do.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Estimate request form: your name, phone number, the type of service you need, an optional email address, and an optional message.
- Phone calls: when you call, we ask for your address and a description of the problem so we can send a technician. Calls that start from our Google ads, our Google Local Services profile, or this website may be routed through a Google forwarding number. Google may record and analyze those calls to report on call activity and to assess lead quality, and may give us the recording and call details such as the time, the length of the call and your phone number. A notice is played at the start of a recorded call. We may listen to these recordings to review how calls were handled and to improve our service. Google decides how long it keeps them. Calls made straight to our business number are not currently recorded by us. If we start recording calls ourselves, we will tell you at the start of the call.
Information collected automatically
- Your IP address, browser and device type, and the pages you view.
- Which buttons you tap, such as the phone buttons, and whether you submit the form.
2. How we use it
- To call you back, give you an estimate, send a technician, and provide and warrant our service.
- To understand how the website and our advertising perform, and to keep the website secure and prevent spam.
- To meet legal obligations and protect our rights.
3. Who we share it with
We share information only with service providers who help us run the website and our business, and only as needed:
- Cloudflare, which hosts and secures this website and processes website requests.
- Google, for Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics and Google Ads measurement.
- Google Drive (Google Sheets), where we store the details from our estimate form so we can call you back, and the automation tool that delivers them there.
- Email, where we send a notification with the details you submit to the business owner, so that we can call you back. The automation tool that delivers it uses an email service to send it.
We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to protect safety or rights, or in connection with a sale or transfer of our business. We do not sell your personal information for money.
Google measurement tools may be treated as "sharing" for advertising under some state privacy laws. See "Your choices" below to limit this.
4. Cookies and tracking
Our Cookie Policy lists the cookies and similar technologies we use. When you first visit, a short notice asks whether we may use cookies to measure the website and our ads. We do not load Google Analytics or Google Ads tags unless you click Accept. You can change your choice at any time with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of our homepage.
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a decision to decline. This website does not respond to "Do Not Track" signals.
5. Your choices and rights
- Access, correction and deletion. You may ask us to tell you what information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete the information you submitted to us. Contact us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable time.
- Advertising. You can control personalized ads in Google Ad Settings, and you can block Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
- State laws. Some states give residents additional privacy rights. North Carolina does not currently have a comprehensive consumer privacy law. Virginia has the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act. We will consider requests from any visitor, wherever you live.
6. How long we keep it
We keep the details you give us for as long as we need them to follow up on your request, provide and warrant our service, and run our business. We keep other information only as long as needed for the purposes above. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see "Your choices and rights" above).
7. Security
This website is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). We use reasonable safeguards, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If a security breach affects your information, we will notify you as required by law, including North Carolina's Identity Theft Protection Act and Virginia's breach of personal information notification law (Va. Code § 18.2-186.6).
8. Children
This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child gave us information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. The effective date above shows when it last changed. If we make material changes, we will update this page.
